Offering this wonderful old print of a wild seaside shore with crashing white cap waves and seagulls crying overhead. There are several ships far out on the horizon. The sky has a somewhat ominous look, like a storm rolling in. Big boulders on shore are covered in seaweed. Marked in bottom left corner C___?( cannot make out), date 1878. I do not know for sure if that is the date of this print or the copywright date. There was old paper on back that has crumbled, cardboard backing looks older and what little bit of print is showing, it is thick and old color. Nice ornate gold finished frame, protective glass covering. Overall measures 10 1/2" x 14 1/2", print is 8" x 12". Fine condition, no stains or holes. If you see trees in the sky area of the print, it is a reflection on the glass not the print! If you love the sea, this print is a must have!
