This is a great old heavy piece of what I believe is pot metal. It is not quite heavy enough to be cast iron but feels a bit heavier than pot metal to me. It may have been a seated figure that was once a part of a cigar display or humidor. He sits up freely on any surface but may have once been attached as t is an opening in the bottom. This man has great detail to the face which doesnt show as well as I would have hoped in the photo. He has a cigar out of the corner of his mouth and is striking a match on a box of matches. T are some slight spots of paint loss on the high sides which only make him look even better at this age. The metal is in great condition. He measures 9" from toe to hat and is 4 1/4" across the arms. Looks great sitting on the table. Neat old piece of Black Americana and/or Tobacianna. Buyer to pay 8.50 US Priority shipping plus ins.
