Being offered is a vintage , ( circa 1900's ? era ) primitive , wooden pin holder carved in the shape of a cute bird . This unique "pin cushion" is really more of a sew ing notion since it is not made of cloth. The wood has an outstanding , rich patina ! This obviously hand-crafted item combined with its age (as seen by the patina) date and classify it as possible Arts & Craft genre . The bird has eight holes along the top , which when filled with pins (even hatpins hat pins) give the bird the illusion of having feathers . All I can see is that one of the holes on the top and one on the side have wear around the perimeter which is to be expected with an object of this age and really does not detract from the overall great appearance of this collectible sewing notion (in my humble opinion). Sold as is . Please e-mail me with questions first .. Just a beautiful and unique sewing notion for your collection !!! Would also make a terrific gift ! Pins included if
