This auction has a 4 pound PURE LARD tin / pail....It stand 6.5 inches tall...Some wear around the lid (SEE PHOTO) how ever the lid does come off and on with ease...You know how sometimes they will rust and you have a hard time with them...No need to worry about this !!!! This particular PURE LARD tin comes from the Smith Packing Company out of Harrisburg, Illinois...I believe it to date from the 1960's...The handle is still intact and in good condition...very little (almost minute) rust and/ or scratches on this yellow tin. NO DENTS AT ALL AS IS USUALLY THE CASE...See photo's for any and all of the flaws.......Not 100 % mint but well preserved...Don't hesitate to ask questions....Add this to you vintage tin collection and you won't be disappointed at all......
