These are really cool. Found in an old junk store in Oklahoma. Wish they could tell stories! Four ribbons are from Quarter Horse shows, the fifth ribbon probably is too. Ribbon #1) Oldest ribbon is from 1962 "Nebraska's Big Rodeo - Quarter Horse Show Champion Stallion". It's the one that's purple with red center, purple, red and yellow streamers. No info on back so I don't know what horse won this ribbon. Ribbon #2) A gold ribbon from 1968, says "Buxmont Riding Club - Quarter Horse Show - 1968". Ribbon has double row of ruffles and is gold and cream with QH emblem in center. Name on the back says "Gold Coyote/Halter". The other 3 ribbons are dated 1973: Ribbon #3) s olid purple ribbon with hunter/english type horse head on gold emblem says "Tyloria Acres Reg. Quarter Horse Show - 1973", on back it's dated 9/29/73 and says "G.R.D" 1/6 on the back; Ribbon #4) Purple outside, cream ruffles inside around a purple emblem with horse head in gold, says "First Place - Trumbull County 4-H Advisor's Horse Show - 1973". The ribbon was won by "Ginger" in Sr. Pleasure, Warren Ohio; 5) last ribbon has red points outside a cream ruffle with western QH head on cream emblem, streamers are red and cream and has "Lebanon County 4-H Quarter Horse Show - 1973", initials on back says "G.R.D. 2/5 Halter on 9/14/73. I just thought the ribbons were neat and they sure don't make them like this anymore! Great for a Quarter Horse enthusiast, a 4-H connoisseur, or want some unique ribbons to give away at your local show. Some ribbons could use a cleaning and pressing but overall they're in pretty good shape. The worst one is the 1962 ribbon, it has a couple of small mold spots but not too bad considering the age.
