Up for auction is t his early wooden trade sign is in black and mustard yellow sand paint and says "Terminal Trainmaster Public". Overall condition of sign is excellent with expected wear consistent with age and use. Sign was most likely inside a train station and protected from the weather, tfore paint is in good shape. This sign is OLD, it is not a copy or reproduction. I am dating this sign somew from the early 1900's-1920's. This sign is from a private railroad collection last added to in the 1960's and kept intact for more than 40 years. Sign most likely was from a train station somew in northern Indiana based on information available at time of purchase. Sign measures 13" x 24" and is on a solid piece of wood, most likely pine.
