This is a gorgeous vintage Bisque wall plaque from an estate. I have a pair but selling them separately since they are so large. I relisted these since the original buyer never paid and is now not a registered user. The oval background plaque is (13" tall 10" wide) They definitely could be displayed by them selves since they are a left and right figural plaque, this one she faces right. Beautiful hand painted decoration with lots of details and very dimensional 3.5" deep. The lady is seated wearing a french style long gown with hand painted roses all done in pinks and pale yellow. The gentlemen is in similar pattern of dress with ruffled shirt, vest and knickers with roses. He stands behind a log gate/fence, around them are many branches, a tree and florals so this is fully decorated in a vintage romantic style with gold detailing. They even have large bows on the shoes. The condition is almost perfect, 2 of her fingers are broken off, the pinky and index finger (see photo, the hand that rests on her lap). I just noticed this, its not bad, you have to come up close to see it, otherwise they would be perfect. Marked on back of each with blue crossed swords and the no.T706. This is a solid and heavy piece that would be perfect either in a bedroom, foyer or powder room. They were originally mounted on velvet, but could be hung by the back that has a knotch or even a ribbon since t is a small hole atop. Any questions please ask, I accept paypal and money orders.
