We have no idea what environment the item has been in before we received it. The auction item is being sold in the condition we received it. All sales are final unless item is grossly misrepresented. Shipping only USA . For sale this week is... an old cranberry ruby colored glass jar with silver handle and lid. We have no idea what this piece was used for?...crackers, candies, pickles? The glass has a "paneled" type form. Very detailed Mary Gregory hand painted design of a young man with a rose. Gold accent paint was also used to add a wonderful richness to the jar. Glass portion is free of and chips or cracks - good condition. T are some spots w the paint is worn - check the photos. We can not find any markings on the jar or silver. The lid does have some loss inside and the handle shows some wear due to use. Jar measures 6.5" height X 5" widest portion this excludes the lid. Total height with handle in upright position is approximately 11 inches. It is a very impressive piece. Please note that the handle does not stay in an upright position.
