is a lovely Old Sleepy Eye vase, 8.5" high, Flemish blue on gray, in the "Indian and Cattails" design. We purchased it at an estate auction. It is NOT a perfect piece (see photos). It does have a crack on the cattail side, but it is not very noticeable. Also, some numbskull decided it would look better with some goldish/bronze colored paint around the rim. Most of it has worn off and we did not try to remove it. Anyway, we thought it was a very pretty, collectible piece, so if the crack and paint doesn't bother you, bid away! It comes with some old newspaper clippings that the previous owner included with some research on Old Sleepy Eye. Similar items in PERFECT condition have often sold for over $400. As this is not perfect, our starting bid is quite reasonable. No shipping to Alaska/Hawaii, sorry. Checks accepted but items not shipped until check clears.
