Hi, I received this 20-25 years ago with some WWII military gear. See my other auction for a Japanes holster I received along with this scope. I am not a collector of any kind, and although I have asked around, and can't really tell you much about this scope, other that it is old and that the glass is very clear. Almost no marks on the scope except for a very small manufacturer's mark/number on one end. That says "22 E 8", however, that "E" is rounded off and I really don't think it's an E. Hopefully the photos will help. The scope's reticle is unusual, and I have been told that it might be German. It does look a little like the German "post" style reticle, yet it is different in that it is a single, narrow triangular shaped reticle starting at the bottom of the sight picture and pointing of course at the center of the sight picture. I would include a photo, but I can't find anything like it anyw after a long internet search. Also please note, as seen in the photos, the screw on cap at the end muzzle end of the scope does not seem to match the scope as it is more heavily blued, and although it fits correctly, I believe it is newer. All three pieces of the scope mount do have a number on them also shown in the pictures. The number on the mount seems to be 1285469. The overall conditions seems to be good. The blueing is heavily
