This painting is done with gouache on artist's board and is presently framed in it's original plain black wood frame (no glass in place). The painting is titled and signed by the artist, lower right: Cloud DancersSoqween In addition, t is another signature, in pencil, on the back of the painting, which reads: Encarnacion PenaSan IldefonsoPue. The painting measures 15" x 20" and the frame measures 16" x 21".Although undated on the work itself, this piece was probably painted during the 1940s or 1950s, judging from the look of it.Soqween is a well-listed Native American artist. is his listing from, American Indian Painters, A Biographical Dictionary, by Jeanne O.
