It is an old sterling silver tray. The tray is thick and 15 3/4" diameter. It is signed Mexico in a triangle with other partial marks, and is marked "sterling" "935". The 935 is a higher mark for silver purity than the standard 925 for sterling. It is in very good condition. The back has a pattern of circles. The front has a hand hammered or beaten surface. Very smooth, but with a wavy look. The tray weighs 41 postal ounces.
