OLD TIFFANY STERLING SILVER RECTANGULAR LIDDED BOX Presented is a wonderful quality sterling silver covered box by Tiffany & Company. This box is covered on all sides with beautiful pierced work or acid etched designs and has an elegant gold wash on the interior. The hinged lid is monogrammed KB at the center. The hinge is in great working condition and the lid closes very well. This piece is very heavy for its size. The box could be used on a dresser or a desk. The gilding on the interior is like the day it was made. The case is hallmarked on the underside with Tiffany & Company Makers, Sterling Silver,, and M. This mark was used between 1907 and 1938. The condition is excellent. T are no dents, no dings, no splits, no breaks, and no repairs. Everything is like the day it was made. The case measures 2 inches by 6 1/8 inches and is 1 3/8 inches tall. The weight is 192.2 grams or 6.7 ounces.
