Your bidding on a good vintage saddle. solid tree and a 15 inch seat. I can not find a makers mark on this saddle but it is in good shape the leather is all original. The horn leather is just missing the horn cap.

This saddle comes off of the Sombrero Ranch in Colorado. The Sombrero ranch leases dude horses to summer camps and dude ranches through out the United States. The have supplied horses for movies like the Duchess and the Dirtwater Fox, Centennial, Conager (Sam Elliot), Avenging Angels, and the new movie Comanche Moon to be released as a mini series this fall. As well As several Cowboy commercials, like Marlboro and Wrangler. The Sombrero has been showcased in several editions of the Western Horseman over the years, the most recent was the February 2006 edition. Also you cand find more information on the Sombrero ranch in the February 2006 edition of the Trail Rider magazine. This is a great piece of Americana or a great addition to your travel memories if you visited any of the sombrero Ranch stables. Or if your looking for a winter project of restoring saddles.
This saddle has been retired from the dude string operation. It has several bumps and bruises and some repairs done. some parts may be missing like the off billet, Stirrups, and latigo. I will do my best to ship a complete saddle (with out a cinch) But I cannot guarentee that it will ship complete. All sombrero saddles have the Ranch brand in the seat and have been outfitted with quick adjust buckles on the stirrup leathers. Most will have an inventory # stamped into the swells and t may be other brands from other dude strings that the Sombrero has aquired over the years. I sell them how I get them
I check the trees by pressing down on the cantle. If t is any movement I will call the tree unsound or loose.
