For sale a fine group of blacksmithing related tools - Small anvil at rear - Overall length - 6-3/4 inches - Width - 2 inches - some chipping from base edges - still sits securely - Height - 3-1/4 inches - Very early small hardie or related tool - Height as shown - 4 inches - Some cut marks on one side - Marked - J.D.Smith - Salisbury, Conn. - Warrented Cast Steel - Top surface - 2-3/4 x 1-1/2 inches - Longer tool is a very fine early anvil for use in the field for various tool repairs - Meant to be set into a tree stump or other secure point and used as a small anvil - Hole within for levering tool to be used to remove the anvil - Length - 9-1/2 inches - Width of top edge - 1-1/2 inches - top edge with 1/4 inch flat surface - Tool is 1-1/8 square at the shaft - Questions welcomed.
