Offered for sale in this auction is this vintage, and probably antique violin or fiddle. The fiddle came in this wood case, that I believe is called a coffin case. Unknown origin. No marks I can find. It must of sounded good, and someone liked it, as it shows signs of being well played. The fret board is off the neck, and needs to be reattached. Not sure why, a couple of knicks but no cracks. The tail piece is very fancy with inlay work. I cannot say this is an item that could be restored. The violin is apart, and I am not any sort of expert in violin restoration. The wood and body appear to be in good shape, at least I cannot see any cracks or breaks in the wood. Very beautiful look to the wood. But obviously the violin has condition issues, it's all apart for one. And I can't say it could be made playable again. If you are reading this description you most likely know alot more about violins then me. It comes with a German bow. And a hard shell case. The case does show some wear. But the case is still useable. Could use some TLC. Perhaps you can use some or alot of these parts, and together it will make a nice lot for you. Pretty old fiddle. Nice inlaid tail piece. Would even look nice to put it back together as it is, just to hang on the wall. Great antique decor item for your music room, or any room in your house. T is a marking/ old sticker tag on the case. Sure to make a welcome addition to your collection!
