This is a handmade wool felt sugarloaf style sombrero. I build these sombreros for reenactors, film and museums. This hat is an overrun on a contract of hats for a costumer and i make very few in this color. This one is ready for decorations or distressing. The crown and brim slightly contrast(see pics). They are made on a wool felt hat blank and the brims are spiral stitched as were the originals. Brim is approx 6.5 inches and has a leather brim binder. Sombrero has leather hat band with stampede strings and crown is lined with pillow ticking. These hats are pretty much one size fits all as these hats were to be worn on the crown of head and do not expect them to fit like a cowboy hat, they weren't designed to. I have sold these hats in the intire range of head size from 6 to 7 5/8, the more they are worn they will conform to the wearers head. These sombreros are seen on history channel, discovey and major films, also at many SASS shoots and reeactments nation wide. These are durable sombreros, i have worn one for 10 years and it just keeps getting better looking and not the velvet covered carboard imports seen elsew I reserve the right to end auction early with no bids for a shop sale. Sold as stated with no returns. Buyer pays shipping. Payment must be made in 7 days. Cert. checks, money orders and pay pal only please.
