This is a handmade sugarloaf style sombrero. I build these hats for TV, Films, Museums and reenactments. This hat is a sample/prototype hero hat that i made for a film project and is ready for decorating or distressing, i build very few this color. These hats are made of good quality wool felt hat blanks and the brims are spiral stitched as were originals. These hats have a pillow ticking liner with leather crown vents. The brims have a leather edge binder and a leather hatband with stampede strings. The crown and brim slightly contrast on this hat(see pics). They are made as one size fits all. These hats are traditional style and are designed to fit on the crown of the head and not the girth, they don't fit like a cowboy hat, they were'nt designed to. I have sold these hats to the whole range of hat sizes and they all work fine, the more they are worn the more they conform to the wearers head. I have worn one of these hats for almost 10 years and it just keeps getting better looking. These hats are seen on the Hisory Channel, Discovery and Film as well as reenactments and old west shoots nation wide. These are durable hats and not the velvet covered cardboard hats seen elsew This is a very nice hat, i reserve the right to end auction with no bids for a shop sale. Sold as described with no returns. Please email any questions. Buyer read more
