Black Wooden Firkin Sugar Bucket
Circa Early - Mid 1900's
Up for sale is this very nice old black firkin sugar bucket. It measures 7 1/2" tall to the top of the lid, by 11" high to the top of the handle when it is raised, by 8" across the top, by 8 5/8" in diameter across the bottom. It is a good sturdy, well made bucket. Comes with it's original lid and handle. It's in excellent condition. The black paint is just beautiful! Nice and grubby primitive looking in all the right places. It is a beautiful firkin! The patina is wonderfully smooth! Has a small splinter in the lid as shown and a light stressed spot on the handle. Neither negatively effect the display in any way! It is bottom signed Woodcroftery and also has a 2.45 on it. I guess it must have cost $2.45 a long time ago when it was new! The display possibilities for firkins are endless! These are especially great as they are not only decorative, but they can also be used for storage. Sorry, only the black firkin bucket is for sale in this listing. Shipping: We strive to pack our items well so they are delivered to you in one piece! Insurance is required. I cannot be responsible for any loss that may occur from uninsured or underinsured items! Insurance will be charged at EXACT USPS rates. I always try to charge as close to exact shipping as possible. If you need delivery confirmation or other special services those are availabe at an additional charge. Please keep in mind when rating me for shipping I have to drive to get boxes, purchase tape, packing materials, paper, & ink for printing off your label, etc... And that many times I actually loose money on shipping. I'm a stay at home mama and it really hurts my feelings when someone gives me a horrible star rating when i've actually lost money on shipping their item!
PAYMENT: Payment is due in 10 Days unless other arrangements have been made. A nonpaying bidder report will be filed promptly on the 11th day if payment has not been recieved. I accept ONLY GOOD personal checks, MO, and Pay-pal. Checks will be held for a FULL 10 days before ANY item will be shipped. We will now be FULLY enforcing the 10 day wait! MO, and Pay-pal are preferred and will ship my next trip to the P.O.
Returns: We want happy customers! On the chance that you might be unhappy with an item. Returns will be gladly accepted for exchange only of another item(s) of equal or lesser value or a store credit issued for use towards future purchases. No refunds will be given, exchanges or store credits only. Buyer must return item at own expense. No credits will be given towards any shipping charges that may have or may occur in returning. Buyer must e-mail before mailing any returns back. And buyer must notify the seller of a return the same day you recieved your item. You must select another item of equal or lesser value or use your store credit within 90 days of the original purchases auction or your store credit will expire.
