This is an auction for one Old Wooden Carved Squirrel Treen Stamp Box or Stamp Holder!!! This wonderful item is from a local estate sale. We do not know the age of the stamp box, but nothing at the sale was new at all. The carved squirrel is so cute, sitting atop a nice wooden lid. T is an old screw underneath the lid holding the squirrel on securely. The round bottom has a slit in it which we have photographed for you w the stamps can be coiled up and w they can release through the slit. The wood is light and has a nice burl or nice lines in it. We do not know the country of origin of this piece and t are no identifying marks on it anyw that we can see. The entire piece including the cute squirrel stands approximately 3" high and the piece is approximately 2 1/8" round. The bottom has the remnants of an old felt covering that is worn, but still present and it still protects the wooden stamp box as well as your surface, although you may want to have the felt replaced at some point.
The little squirrel has two black little beaded eyes, or at least they look black. We suppose they could be a dark ruby red, but we all feel that they are black and his tail is bushy, of course. It is a very nice piece and well constructed. Maybe it would make a nice addition to your antique stamp boxes or stamp holder collection? SHIPPING AND HANDLING: Shippingand handling will be $4.80 for USPS priority mail in a box,unless otherwise directed. Insurance can be added for $1.70 for up to $50.00 worth of coverage, or $2.15 for up to $100.00 worth of coverage and so on. Delivery confirmation is always a good idea and can be added for an additional .65 cents. Signature Confirmation is available as well for an additional $2.20, please advise if you would like any of these additional services in shipping. We also can consider UPS delivery for heavier items if you wish, such as dishes, etc. However, we do try and use USPS most of the time. We can consider shipping in a padded envelope for you, but prefer using the priority mail box to protect your purchase through the vigorous mail system. Please advise if this is your choice, but please, choose insurance. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR UNINSURED PARCELS LOST OR DAMAGED IN SHIPPING!!! PAYPAL PREFERRED. If you cannot check-out immediately~~~ and you are the winning bidder, please wait until you receive our invoice or e-mail before you send your paypal payment . We need to hear from you within five days of the auction's or five days of us sending you your invoice, so we will know how to proceed. International Buyers must utilize PAYPAL. Please provide a confirmed address. International Buyers will also pay actual shipping costs. We can only provide you with an estimate beforehand, but if you are INTERNATIONAL, you must pay the actual costs when we ship it. Multiple purchases are cheerfully combined for lesser shipping charges. Also, international buyers: we are not responsible for taxes, duties, value-added taxes or other fees that you are responsible for. We try very hard to please.
