Old hand wrought spearpoint and trident. Both have rolled iron ends for fitting on a handle. The trident has a decorative checkered pattern on the rolled iron end. The spear has an incised X pattern at the point w the rolled handle meets the spear point. Both pieces are hammered and fashioned from a single piece of iron. The trident is 14 inches long; the spear point is 15 inches long. We found these together years ago on the central coast of California. They are possibly native American trade items, but we cannot substantiate that. They are well made, artistic old tools that date to the 1800s.
