OLD WWII USMC MACHETE KNIFE SWORD WW2 COLLINS & CO 1942. RARE UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS. B.M. CO. 1945 SCABBARD. This old World War II machete is in excellent plus condition. It appears that the knife has never been used, just stored. The old edged weapon measures 23 1/2" overall with a 18" blade. The blade has a little bit of light surface rust in spots. The blade is stamped U.S., LEGITIMUS, COLLINS & CO., 1942 and on the obverse side is the original Collins label. Beautiful horn slab handles with no cracks or chips. Steel rivets and a wrist-strap hole. With a little TLC, should clean up nicely to near mint condition. The WWII Marine Corps scabbard is a rare one and is in excellent plus condition to almost near mint. It is heavy duty green plastic. It has been in storage so is just slightly dirty. Marked below the opening U.S.M.C. and on the obverse side B.M. CO. 1 V/P, 1945 . Put these beauties in a place of honor in your WWII edged weapon collection! Please see the attached photos.
