According to one of the yellowware books this tureen in a melon pattern was made by C C Thompson of East Liverpool Ohio. It measures about 10 13/4" long, 7" wide and 7" tall to top of handle. The color is soft yellow and it is unmarked except for a previous owners mark. The condition is good with 4 chips on the inner edge of the base...the largest is pictured. No other damage on the base. The lid has a hairline at the underside edge that is about 1 1/2" long and shows on the top. T is another long line underneath that is jagged but so fine you cannot feel it with a fingernail. This one does not show on the top and may be a glaze only line. It has an applied handle shaped like a vine that is perfect. A rather large tureen but it would make a great centerpiece for fall dinners. No reserve. Buyer to include shipping and insurance with payment within 10 days of auction close. Money Orders only please. thanks!!
