This is an older vintage Middle Eastern styled cast iron camel inkwell. It belonged to my great grandfather so I believe it dates from 1890-1920. It is in very good condition considering it's age. I have not tried to clean it for fear of affecting the value. I will leave that to someone who knows what they're doing. The hinge for the saddle is broken but hinge is still attached but the saddle does fit firmly on top without a hinge. The original glass inkwell is still t and that is the only thing I did clean. T is some paint loss and general wear. The measurements are approx. 5 1/2" long, 2 3/4" wide at widest point and sits 3 7/8" tall to tallest point. Weighs approx. 1 lb. 8 oz. I'll let the photos tell the rest.
