This auction is for an older lakota style women's belt bag and knife set. It has 3 pieces: Strike-A-Light Bag Ration Card Bag Knife BagI believe it was probably made in the mid 1900's judging from the beige colored hide and glass beads. The beadwork is all done in lazy stitch. The beads are size 10's or 11's, opaque, in white, red, green, dark blue and light blue. The knife bag is 9" long (inside measurement) with one thin strip of leather hanging down, approx. 7-3/4", with a red-whiteheart pony bead and metal cone at the end. The strike-a-light bag measures 5" long and 4" wide, not including the metal cones hanging off the bottom. T is also 2 metal cones with horse hair on one side and one metal cone with horse hair on the other side. The ration card bag measures 5" long by 3-1/2" wide, not including the 2" to 2-1/2" fringe on both sides and bottom. T are also 5 metal cones attached to the fringe at both corners of the bag. T is no missing beadwork on any of the pieces and the bags do look worn from age and the metal cones. Please e-mail me with any questions prior to bidding. I will include free shipping (USA only) for the winning bidder. Thanks for looking and have a great day!
