An excellent quality oreodont skull from the Brule Formation of Wyoming. The bone preservation is excellent and the skull and lower jaw are in place and complete. Some of the anterior most teeth are missing (see the images), but the rest of the dentition is present and of great quality. The skull measures a very manageable 4.75 inches long. The skull is well inflated and makes for an excellent display piece. If you have ever wanted an Oreodont skull, this is one that we would recommend. Belongs to the smaller species Merycoidodon gracilis.
