This is a near mint Olsen knife manufactured by Solingen in Germany.
The 4 3/4 inches blade is mirror polished, has never been sharpened, and maybe never used. It has some minor scuff marks on one side from being placed in and out of the sheath.The blade also has, what looks like, some brass polish residue near the hilt, below the stamps as seen in pictures 3 and 4. One side is stamped 'Olsen Knife Co. Solingen Germany' and the other side is stamped '4800 4 3/4'. The Rosewood handle is in great shape. The only imperfections that I noticed is that the screw used to fasten the knife has been tightened ( pic 7). one side of the wood w it meets the brass hilt is missing some of the 'filler' between the wood and brass (pic 8), and t are some minor dents on the top of the handle (pic 9). The original sheath was well maintained and is in great shape. It has retained all the original stitching, is supple, and is stamped 'Made in Germany'.
