Olympia 1980 Beer Barrel Waterfall Motion Light – Moving Water!

This is the perfect gift for the beer light collector or motion advertising sign collector who thinks they have it all!

This Olympia Waterfall Motion Light would be a great addition to add to your game room. It rates at a solid 8.5 out of 10(please see ME Profile); very minor face blemishes from cleaning and runs perfectly. Please take your time and exam the pictures and the waterfall effect is just mesmerizing. The small stream on the left has motion also////// This sign has a awesome gleam when turned off, that gets guest more curious than George. I restore and rebuild these for fun, and the love of the sign. Who knows where Olympia Hamm's would be now if these lights worked for more than a week,month,or year. Production could not have been cheap on the plastic end, as the signs are of TOP QUALITY.

This light has been upgraded with a Synchron Motor that is sure to last a lifetime. I have ones that have been going for 50 years plus, the Intermatic motors that were used for these lights are complete junk, and will go bad with less than 100 hours of use. I feel sorry for the guy buying and selling those rebuild kits as they are available online for about twenty dollars, and so are completely new motors ...google the specs I called a spade a spade. Then again, I'm not the one Bondoing up Styrofoam Hamm's bears, and forgetting to mention that when selling them. The specs are as follows for the original motor. Intermatic 1.2 rpm ccw model WG-1450 rebuild kit. The Intermatic motors never should have been placed in these beautiful motion lights. Don’t mess with rebuild kits when you can buy this light with an already upgraded synchron.

These lights are more practical to own than Hamm’s Motions because you will never have to worry about scroll problems (scratches, tears, fading). T his is a true collectors item that won’t be found often; so make sure you buy from me!! This item would be great for any Beer Sign Collector, or just anyone who enjoys vintage beer advertising. Dear mjsbowl,

I have one of these signs that was new in plastic, unused when I got it. With no more than fifteen minutes of test running time, the Intermatic motor failed. I took it apart to find out why. There is a plastic bearing pressed inside a metal ring that serves as the induction material. Well, surprise, surprise! Mechanical engineers use scientific terms like creep, flow, and sag to describe movement or change in shape over time and under continuous force. So, what happens is the plastic gives under the pressure of the ring, causing it to grip the center shaft with enough force to keep the motor from starting. So, that's one reason I must agree with you that Intermatic motors are junk. They fail in timers under their own brand, so they don't care. I've even rebuilt the plastic part, but it fails in months, even if unused.
