UNIVERSAL MONEY CHECKER BALANCE SCALE MANUFACTURED BY OMAL OFFICE MACHINERY LTD. LONDON, ENGLAND OWNED BY BANK OF AMERICA PREDECESSOR
This is a rare antique balance scale used in the 1960s and 70s to count loose coins and currency prior to the invention of digital coin counters. Once the scale is calibrated, you place the control coins on one plate (50 pennies, 20 nickels, etc.) and place similar loose coins on the other plate. In 1998, Nationsbank changed its name to become the current Bank of America. This is a rare, one-of-a-kind piece of banking history that makes a unique and functional decorator piece in any home or office to hold keys or loose coins. It is all cast iron and stainless steel, in perfect working order and can also be used to quickly count and inventory tokens chips or everyday small items, measure ingredients for cooking, or whatever. It comes in a custom leather carrying case
