FABULOUS TO PLACE AT THE FOOT OF YOUR BED AS A DRESSING/LUGGAGE BENCH ~ FOR STORING QUILTS, SWEATERS ~ OR MAKES AN AWESOME HOPE CHEST / TOY CHEST! PLEASE NOTE: The trunk does not have a lock clasp ~ the trunk is safe and will not lock when closed. Please see the pictures. The locking clasp mechanism on the lid has been removed and will not be included for child safety purposes. The cedar interior is awesome ~ barely looks used (incredibly it still has the original tags inside!) and I LOVE the hinged tray section with the green felt!! All of the filigree is solid wood ~ gorgeous and scrolly. We custom refinished and handpainted the trunk in our newest custom blended Tourmaline paint. Distressed to accent the delicious old dark wood underneath. This fabulous cedar trunk will add interest, color and "inherited" architectural charm to any room. We even painted the back because this would also be a fabulous coffee table! Totally aWeSomE ~ You'll love her as much as I do. We've always loved the old-fashioned depth and richness of antique colors in antique furniture. We developed this color from a painted piece that we felt was quite exceptional. Its taken us quite a while to perfect the paint but the wait was worth it as it - it is - stunning! We've named it Tourmaline after a gemstone that has the same unique color brilliance of being both blue and green. The distressed paint has a unique quality that makes it a little more green. As you view the pictures you'll see both colors. The dual color results are awesome and we'll be offering more pieces for your bedroom, living room and dining room in this dreamy color! This old chest is made of solid wood ~ is sound, sturdy and heavy. She has typical age consistent dents and dings & t and some old chipped veneer on the wood top. We added the fabulous old claw feet legs ~ they are solid carved wood. The lid fits snuggly to the trunk and the lid opens & closes easily. The old wheels seen are not included, however, we'll provide a new set of reproduction wood wheels for FREE . I do LOVE the extra charm these wheels give antique furniture!Our refinishing process includes a thorough quality check, cleaning and making any repairs or improvements and that t are no flaws unless otherwise noted. We also only use USA made water based lead-free paints. We maintain professional quality in every aspect of our product selection, refinishing, customer service and shipping.
