OMG SCALAMANDRE âeoeBROCART DE LYON âe SILK BROCADE PILLOW #1 For your consideration I have the most awesome pillow made from the most expensive HAND WOVEN NOT MACHINE WOVEN silk brocade. This 100% silk is called Brocart de Lyon #96100-006 . The colors are blue, turquoise, navy, pink, lavender, green, beige, white and more on a Chinese red background. This is now only machine made but awhile back Scalamandre did it both ways and I was lucky enough to get a piece of the hand woven version (see photo of back). The hand woven version sold to designers only for, are you sitting? $2,853.00 a yard!!!! Retail was $5,706.00 a yard! Crazy I know. I embellished it with 2âe wide Antique French gold metallic vestment trim on each side of the silk brocade. It is on a Chinese red Scalamandre silk satin which is also on the back side of the pillow. The sides feature 3âe Antique French metallic bullion with caterpillars and a metallic ribbon trim as a header . The whole entire pillow is lined to give it extra durability. T is a zipper at the bottom for your convenience. T is a down and feather insert for a plush look and feel. I donâe(tm)t know what else I can say except this is the height of luxury and decadence .
