For bid is this brass ON2 gauge Sandy River and Rangely Lakes Railroad Boxcar by Town Models. Now, I have never heardof Town Models and I guarantee Town Models has never heard of me either but I have to say, they build a nice boxcar. There are some heavy solder residues than I would personally like, but this is ON2 and if someone builds a decent boxcar and I didn't have to build it from scratch, than I would shut my mouth and just snap it up. Looking at the pictures, you will notice the high brake stand...imagine running along the roof as the brakeman to slow the train down while it's moving...the high brake rod will definitely save your back. The truss rods, sill and brake rigging are all well done as is the photo etched sides and doors...the doors don't open though and they are soldered in position...the door roller detail is nice though. There are no trucks included with the car...but you ON2 guys are resourceful and would know where to find the right ones...add paint, decals and a set of trucks and you're ready to move some manifest.
