This neat little stand measures 20 by 18 by 29Ã,Â" high. It is of mixed woods, cherry with an ash or oak top. This is an unusual combination of woods, so perhaps the top has been replaced at some time in the dim past. HOWEVER, as the photos will show, the overall affect is homogenous and pleasing.
The drawer is nicely dovetailed, with the single-board drawer bottom deeply chamfered. The knob is attached with a threaded dowel, which was often used in early country furniture where iron fasteners were at a premium. The top is of a single board, and has 2 shrinkage cracks, which is not unusual in wide, thin boards. The cracks have been stabilized, and will cause no trouble. Shipping within the USA lower 48 will not be terribly expensive. The stand is of a size and weight that UPS can handle delivery, and they have quite reasonable rates. If you are in the Florida-Georgia-S. Carolina area, there is a good possibility of delivery either free, or at a reduced rate, as we travel in that area monthly. Please donÃ,Â't hesitate to request additional information or more detailed pictures. Both are readily available. ALSO, please donÃ,Â't fail to check the other items we are offering. On the left side of this page, under the photo, please click Ã,Â"View DealerÃ,Â's Other ItemsÃ,Â" to scan our offerings of 1775 - 1875 antique American furniture, ship and pond models, other nautical items, rare tools and usually some other good stuff.
