Get ready for a Randall knife that absolutely and truly meets the definition of "unique". This is what is called the Randall One-Armed Knife. Handmade by Mr. "Bo" Randall in the 1950s, it has survived use and travel in and around Florida for over 50 years. The blade is 4" long, and sharpened for cutting meat, vegetables or other food items. The "point" of the knife is curved upwards and was made with 3 tines (only 2 have survived) like a fork, for picking up bites of food after they're cut. The blade is still very sharp, and the 2 tines are still functional. The overall length of the knife is 8 1/2". The handle is a solid piece of walnut, affixed to the tang with a brass pin. It has a few cracks, but is tight and solid. There is no sheath. A picture of this knife (once owned by the author) and a brief description appears on page 102 of the book "The Randall Chronicles" by the late Pete Hamilton. Mr. Hamilton was the shop foreman at Randall Made knives from 1970 until 2000, and an unquestioned expert on Randall knives. The knife was authenticated by Mr. Hamilton, and the certificate will be included with the knife and personalized zip case. There is also an original letter from Mr. Gary Randall certifying the known background of this knife that will be included as well. I have attached 3 additional pictures to the listing which read more
