I have been wanting to find something I could put into the "weird" category and finally I found this one-of-a-kind treasure in the attic of an old home. It is most unusual! It can be categorized into vintage clothing, vintage collectibles with merchandise advertising, specifically labels, AND just plain weird! This could be a find for anyone who collects authentic and vintage canned food labels and/or also for anyone who wants a semi-paper dress! And a very colourful one at that! The labels are intriguing and very colourful! The one date on the Brer Rabbit Molasses is 1941. The labels are all about this time period. T are some from companies no longer in existence, and quite a few from Buffalo, New York, near w I live. T are also recipes! How fun! The one on the molasses label states the recipe is 100 years old for gingerbread. The dress itself appears to be a waitress uniform with a white background and tiny red dots as well as slightly gatd and puffed short sleeves and beautiful red buttons. The material is a crisp cotton. It is in great condition with little wear, no holes, stains or tears. The labels are all tacked on in long white stitches. If you are a label collector, you could carefully salvage many of them. Some ARE torn and some are brittle, but t are also really beautiful ones with great artwork and sayings on them. read more
