Stage 3T ALL Pro Professional HO Slot Car ControllerProfessional grade transistorized HO slot car controller. Unit has a separate transistor circuits for running power and the coast feature. This allows the sensitivity circuit to be independent of the coast feature. Unit also has an adjustable choke feature that clips power off the top end to calm down pipey cars.This is the standard contoller at HC Slots that all Ready To Run cars are tested with after assembly.One of the big problems guys face in advancing in the hobby has always been getting a good controller. The price is usually always the barrier. Current 'brand name' units are in excess of $250.00. One is even above the $300.00 mark. One Stop Slot Shop has fixed that problem with he ALL PRO unit.It has: 1) Adjustable Sensitivity, 2) Adjustable Choke, 3) Adjustable Brake/Neutral/Coast. The key feature here is that the Sensitivity pot is independent of Brake/Coast pot. You can get your sensitivity set and then dial in or out as much brake or coast as you want. Another way is to set the Choke where you want it and then adjust the Sensitivity and Brake/Coast.Some other popular brands don't have that ability. It is highly frustrating. As an example: If a car needs a lot of sensitivity, then the circuit puts too much power into the brake/coast pot. Switching on that pot can cause the car to screech to a halt or have so much coast that if runs around on the track with no trigger input.When you first pick up the Stage 3T ALL Pro, it is apparent that it is a quality, well thought out and constructed controller. The design uses a compact arrangement of control pots that are not hung out there in outer space like some units. Nearly all components are inside the handle or just above.The current convention with most other competing designs is that the transistor is located on a big, bulky, heavy, cloddy, clunky heat sink hanging from the power wires below the controller handle. All of that is now incorporated into the handle of the Stage 3T. The only thing outside of the handle on the power wires is a small fixture for the fuse.Control Section- Adjustable Sensitivity covering the full range of HO and 1/32 scale cars.- Adjustable Choke providing a softer response for twisty sections while still providing full power on the straights. Helps tame the Snappy-Loose cars.- Adjustable Brakes controlled by a 100 ohm Brake pot.- Adjustable Transistorized Coast utilizing a second transistor. This heat-sunk transistor prevents using the Brake Pot to dissipate the heat keeping the Brake pot safe to touch at all times. Coast is fully protected by a PTC resettable fuse in case of a short circuit or excessive heat.- Independent Coast and Sensitivity controls. Set one without altering the other. This saves time when setting up the controller.- Brake/Coast switch allows the user to run with Brakes, Coast or neither.- Easy-to-Read Control Section. Knobs are adequately spaced in front of a well defined and readable display. Numbered rotation allows repeatable placement of the knobs.Body Section- Adjustable Full-Power and Brake points. The posts that control the full on and off positions are fitted into grooved oval slots in the frame allowing the user to adjust the dead time from brake to power and when full power is contacted.- 40 band nickel plated wiping surface for long life.- Flexible wiper arm with a floating wiper button maintains consistent wiping contact.- Flexible trigger wire that is fully enclosed in a silicone coating to prevent fraying and premature failure.- Specially designed pivot rivet provides a snug yet free fit for the trigger to rotate on, eliminating the need for aftermarket bearings.- Internal Heat Sink. No weights or swinging hazards on the wires of this controller. All the weight and heat is maintained inside the handle while keeping the entire controller weight under 12ozs.Wires- Parma Super Flexible 14 gauge wire is used with about 41" of wire outside the controller. That is a full foot longer than stock controllers provide.
