OO ProScale all metal un-built kit, LNER P2 Locomotive “Cock o’ the North” On offer here is a very rare as new ProScale OO kit of LNER P2 Loco “Cock o’ the North”. This long out of production kit was bought by myself in 1984 for a project but never used. Kit can be built into a superb model of this iconic locomotive, believe kit in gauges OO, EM or P4. The kit contains brass etchings for main structural parts of the boiler, cab, running plate, chassis, tender etc. There are numerous nice lost wax castings to create the detailed backhead, various details and fittings on the locomotive. Sprung chassis, nickel silver etched valve gear. Nameplates, wheels, gears, motor and couplings are NOT included by kit maker as these are a matter for individual builder’s choice. However I have provided Anchorage D13 5 pole motor, Romford wheels as an extra. Note: the tender/bogie wheels are covered in oxide. I had opened the box, as far as I know all the parts are complete with the instructions. I have marked the item as new as I have done nothing to it. From Instructions: L.N.E.R. P2 "COCK 0' THE NORTH" Designed by H.N. Gresley The first P2 "Cock 0' The North" left Doncaster works in May 1934. At that time it was the longest and most powerful locomotive on any British railway and it's unusual appearance and clean lines resulted in much publicity.
