Fine Friends"Hand Painted Halloween Folk Art CIGAR BOX PURSE This is an ORIGINAL OOAK (one of a kind) Halloween CIGAR BOX PURSE by Pacific Northwest artist Becky Federico (me), featuring a black cat making friends with a couple of stacked Jack-o-lantern pumpkins. This was painted in acrylics on a wooden plaque mounted on the lid of the box. The plaque painting has a yellow background, crackled and age-stained to give it that vintage folksy look. Painted along the edge are black & orange checks with yellow dots. The box has been painted black, crackled and age-stained with yellow stars at each corner. Along the edges I've painted yellow zig-zags with orange dots, orange zig-zags on a yellow background, and orange & black checks with yellow dots. The back features a grinning JOL surrounded by yellow squiggles painted on a wooden plaque. I've added tinsel-like eyelash trim around the plaque. This was then mounted onto the black painted box. Stick-on letters spell out HALLOWEEN and black Dresden paper trim frame the scene. Decorative metal feet protect the artwork. The hinges and snap clasp are original to the box and the faux amber acrylic handle is new. Attached to the handle is a purse charm "tassel" I created using semi-precious beads of Quartz Crystal, Carnelian, Onyx, Agate, and Hematite. various glass beads include pumpkin lampwork read more
