Old Japanese hand carved Netsuke out of genuine Elephant Tusk Ivory and artist signed from the MEIJI period. This is a one of a kind HIGH QUALITY netsuke from a private collection, fully hand carved of a large mythical bird with a man on its back . This netsuke would have taken a long time to produce completey by hand and is one of the most detailed and best ever offered on Ebay. This netsuke is quite large and heavy measuring about 2" wide X 2" long X 1.25 tall and weighs a full 2 oz. It has a warm patina and nice natural crosshatching & grain throughout and its in excellent near mint condition with just a tiny fleabite on the end of the R wing, NO other chips, cracks or repairs of any kind. T is a dark line that runs through the mans leg and back, this is NOT a crack, its a natural part of the ivory w a nerve would have run through the tusk. I recently obtained several Netsukes from a Private collection, all are guaranteed to be genuine ivory and very high quality, so please check them all out. As with all of my auctions this starts at .99 with NO RESERVE so everyone has a chance and its guaranteed to be as described. Dont miss the opportunity to add this fantastic piece to your collection, Please see photo's for actual item offered and condition . As always I am happy to combine shipping and I only charge for the actual weight of the package, no matter how many auctions you win. I will be listing many more interesting items & rare antiques and will be adding new listings almost daily, please check back often. ALL ITEMS COME FROM A SMOKE & PET FREE HOME Your satisfaction is important to me, if you find the item to be seriously not as described please contact me before leaving negative feedback within 3 business days of receiving the item and I will refund the winning bid amount + shipping when I receive the item back in same condition. Return postage/insurance is at your expense. I am not responsible for items broken/damaged/lost in shipment, you must file a claim with the shipper for compensation, allthough this has never happened because I take extreme care to pack items for safe arrival.
