is the perfect brooch for the Opal girl!! Born in October or just love opals? This marvelous brooch is sure to please! This measures 2"L x 1 1/2"w x 1/4"d with a nice straight pin and s safety lock for added security. T are five oval cut opals in all, each measures 8x6mm, or 1.52ct, for a total of 7.60Ctw. These are white opals, but with lovely shades of green, orange,pink, yellow and blue that flair up as you move the piece. Each opal is placed at the end of a gold stem, to appear like a bouquet. T is a ribbon effect at the base, accented with a band of gold set with five small diamonds approx., - .15ctw. This is stamped 14K (585) european stamp on the back of the brooch. It is an estate piece from about the late 1940's to early 1950's. What a wonderful addition to your fine vintage jewelry collection. All of our jewelry comes gift boxed for presention.
