Orange Tree Carnival Glass Punch Bowl, Base & 10 Punch Cups Offered for auction just in time for your Holiday parties.....is this antique carnival glass punch bowl, base and 10 matching punch cups. The pattern is called "Orange Tree" and I believe is a Fenton pattern. T is no marking on any of the pieces, but in my limited library research, I found the pattern was made by Fenton. The punch bowl is a irridescent gold with rainbow hues. The color is such that it picks up and reflects nearby colors. When I had it sitting on a red tablecloth the gold was much warmer and more orange. Then I moved it to a blue tablecloth and the blue colors in the irridescense began to pick up and become more noticeable. This set would be beautiful in any setting. The surface of the glass is satiny smooth. The top of the punch bowl is flared and measures 10 1/2" across. When sitting on the base the punch bowl is 9 1/2" tall. I found no flaws in the punch bowl or base. The size is great, because it is not so huge that it would overpower a sideboard or buffet, as some punch sets do. This set would make a great statement in your dining room. T are 11 punch cups shown in the photos. Ten of the cups are perfect, but one cup has a tiny flea bite chip on the foot.....so I'm giving you that cup. I've seen other punch cups listed on eBay, so you could add to the set if you wanted more cups. These 12 pieces are for an advanced Carnival glass collector, or a discriminating decorator that wants a striking conversation piece. My reserve is much lower than the book prices I found. Please ask questions prior to bidding. I'll try my best to answer them, but I don't reveal the reserves until after the auction. If you were really "GOOD" this year, perhaps you could ask Santa to put this under your Christmas Tree!
