Orbicular Ocean Jasper Rock Rough Slab Stone This is a slab of orbicular Ocean Jasper from Madagascar. Jasper is a type of quartz belonging to the chalcedony family. This variety is silicified rhyolite flow from off the northwest coast of Madagascar. It can only be seen and collected at low tide. The area has no road, so the material must be transported to civilization by boat. This type of Jasper was so named because it resembles the foam as the water recedes back into the ocean, with its wavy patterns of green-gray, white, cream, beige, brown, pink and marooon. Metaphysical Properties : Ocean Jasper is believed to teach responsibility and patience, as well as aid in regulating breathing for meditation. This slab is 5 inches long and 3 inches wide and 6 mm thick. It has some natural vugs and is translucent in the white areas. It also has a crack from the vug to the left side in the second picture. It weighs .3 lbs and is shown wet on one side (first picture)-dry on the other. #6 Shipping terms: I am always happy to combine shipping.
