Order of the Red Star Established by the Decree of the Presidium of the USSR Central Executive Committee on April 6, 1930. Statute of the order established by the Decree of the Presidium of the Central Executive Committee of the USSR from May 5, 1930. Later in the issues related to the awarding of the Order of the Red Star, Modifications and General Regulation on the orders of the USSR (CEC and SNK of 7 May 1936), Decrees of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet on June 19, 1943, February 26, 1946 October 15, 1947 and December 16, 1947. Order of the Red Star, established to honor a great contribution to the defense of the USSR both in wartime and in peacetime, to ensure public safety. Red Star awarded: Soviet Army, Navy, border and internal troops, members of the Committee of State Security, as well as privates and officers of the bodies of internal affairs; troops, warships, connections and associations, enterprises, institutions and organizations. Red Star may be awarded to military personnel and foreign countries. Awarding the Order of the Red Star is on the proposal accordingly USSR Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR, the Soviet KGB. Order of the Red Star is worn on the right side of the chest and in the presence of other orders placed after the Order of the Patriotic War II degree [2]. Description of the Order. Order of the Red Star is covered ruby red enamel five-pointed star. In the middle of the order is placed the figure of a shield with a Red Army soldier in a greatcoat and Budenovka with a rifle in his hands. On the rim of the shield is the inscription "Workers of all countries, unite!" At the bottom of the rim - the inscription "USSR". Under the shield is a hammer and sickle. Shield, the image of the Red Army, the inscription, the hammer and sickle, and the edge of the star - oxidized. [2] Order of the Red Star is made of silver.
