OUT OF THE ORDINARY: 1970-1980" - SIGNED Photography by Joel Meyerowitz Published by Episode Publishers, Rotterdam, 2007 Joel Meyerowitz became known early on as a pioneer for his use of color photography during a time when most serious photographers were using black-and-white. During the 1960's, he continued to develop his style as a spontaneous cinéma vérité approach to street photography. During this time he began using color exclusively. Around 1970, however, his approach underwent a profound transformation. FROM THE PUBLISHER: "This publication offers a selection of photographs made by award-winning photographer Joel Meyerowitz between 1970 and 1980. Meyerowitz saw this period as a time of radical and decisive change. The photographs presented in this publication survey that vital decade in which Meyerowitz challenged the medium and engaged in aesthetic exploration.
