This is a beautiful miniature tea set plus an extra (non-matching) tea pot. All pieces are made of red clay. The set has heavy pewter trim. The tea set consists of a tea pot, four handle-less cups and a round tray. The pot is approximately 2 1/2" tall and 4" from handle to spout. The tray has a diameter of 5 7/8" and is 3/4" deep, the cups are 7/8" tall and 1 1/2" wide. All pieces have thick pewter trim, showing Chinese characters (?) on the cups and dragons on the tray and tea pot. Additionally t is a second tea pot, 4 1/4" tall with handle and up to 4 1/4" wide including the spout. The handle is part of the pot and does not move. Decorated with beads around the top (one of the beads is missing). Tea pots, lids and tray are marked with impressed oriental characters. Age unknown. The tea set is in excellent condition without any damage. The extra tea pot is chipped around the inside rim (see picture). The damage is not visible when the lid is in place.
