Guaranteed original 1907 Waltham-Orient Two Cylinder 8 Horse Power Motor poster sales brochure. It measures 8 1/2" x 14 1/2" and is in near mint condition except for being folded. This v-twin motor was used in the Orient Buckboards. As an aside, this motor probably has or was used in motorcycles also and we know that Marsh Metz began with Charles Metz who founded the "Waltham Manufacturing Company" of Waltham, Massachusetts, in the late 1890's. Waltham began by manufacturing bicycles, but by 1903 Charles expanded the company into automobile and motorcycle manufacturing. He left the Waltham Manufacturing Company in 1902, to begin the "Metz Motorcycle Company". He then joined into a partnership with Marsh Motorcycle Company of Brockton, Massachusetts in 1905, creating the "American Motorcycle Company" in Brockton. It was that the "Marsh-Metz," also known as the "MM" was born. So this poster is a great collectible for both early auto and motorcycle collectors.Please Note that this auction ends on Wednesday night East Coast time.

Packing: When shipping paper items, they are protected by plastic bag and placed between 2 pieces of cardstock and placed inside a priority mail flat rate or a manila envelope. Additionally, a note saying "Please Do Not Bend" is written in marker on the envelope. All items that are boxed go individually in plastic bags, are wrapped in newspaper with newspaper packing all around in stiff cardboard boxes.
