Whomever owned this badge undoubtedly wore it with great pride as it has been polished to the point w its original silver plate finish has been worn off to expose its brass underlayment. But it still tells the story and makes one wonder how many thousands of miles it traveled crossing our highways prominently displayed on its owner's jacket or hat. This one is from Pennsylvania and bears the state's keystone symbol in the background. It is numbered: 20409, is dated 1918, reads LICENSED DRIVER and is free of any other form of identification. It measures 2 1/2 inches in length by 1 5/8 inches deep at its widest point. Its original pinback remains and it has never been broken or repaired in any way.
