Please read all text and terms and be sure to super size the photos below. This auction offers you the opportunity to bid on one phenominal antique dining room table. It is a classic example of early 1900's designer made American revival Art Nouveau furniture. This table is quite extravagant in design. It is a huge table made by Designer Tom Handley from Gran Rapids Michigan in the 1920's 1930's era. It i just gorgeous. Each corner has a 2 leg support that consists of tall slender twin legs with a tapered cut and curly trim topped with heavy fruit carved maple corner panels. The apron is banded in a circassian walnut grain finish all the way around. This table is a large table that will accept three expansion leaves included with the leaf carrying storage box. The table top is quite nice a s well with marquetry inlaid corners and circassian banding around the stepped edge. The center is a gorgeous deeply grain walnut table top. It stands 30" high and is 69" long by 46" wide. It will expand to 105" with the three 11.75" leaf inserts included.. It does have some scuffs and marks on the finish as is shown in the photos. Structurally, it is in great condition. You can certainly clean and wax this table for use as is or easily restore the finish to remove the marks from use to bring it back to it's original grand beauty when created back in the 1920's. It has the original Johnson-Handley-Johnson brass tag on it. I have the matching chairs selling now on another auction and will have the sideboard selling within the next 7 to 10 days as well.Three Swedish-immigrant brothers founded the Johnson Furniture Co. in Grand Rapids in 1908. Their Designer, Tom Handley, became an officer of the company in 1922, the same year a related firm, Johnson-Handley-Johnson Co., was organized. Johnson Furniture Co. produced bedroom furniture, while Johnson-Handley-Johnson manufactured dining-room sets and library furniture. From its founding in 1922 until about 1935, Johnson-Handlel-Johnson produced furniture in European and American revival styles. Modern lines were also manufactured after 1928. Both Johnson companies were known for high-quality residential furniture.THIS AUCTION IS FOR THE DINING ROOM TABLE AND THE THRE EXPANSION LEAVES ONLY!!!!It will be selling with an opening bid of $5 as do almost all of our auctions, with no reserve price set.
