Pair of Original Antique Tintype Photographs of a 19th Century NY Circus Juggler in Blackface. New York Vaudevillian Performer, George Moore. Dating ca. 1880’s, Good Condition. Purchased from the family is a pair of original antique tintypes of a young Vaudeville Circus Juggler in blackface; George Moore, Long Island, NY. George poses for the photographer, with the aid of a support/prop seen behind his feet. He wears a checked jacket and pants and high buttoned shoes. According to family, George lived to be 100+ years of age, working later in life on the “BIG TOP CIRCUS Television Show” . One tintype measures approx. 4 & 1/8 by 2 & ½ inches. The second, a bit smaller, measures approx. 3 & 7/8 by 2 & 3/8 inches. Condition is good, having light creasing and surface wear, as shown.
