Original gelatin silver photograph by Eugene Goldbeck entitled "11th F.A. Regiment Schofield Barracks, T.H. Colonel Laurin L. Lawson Commanding July 8, 1935." Photograph includes massive display of military personnel, trucks, canons, and a military band. Amazing detail throughout. Photograph does not fade left to right as seen on the overall picture of it below. Overall size is approx. 10x55" including white border. Excellent sharpness and contrast; some creasing with one crease on right that has broken through the print. Will flatten and display nicely. The 17,725-acre Schofield Barracks site was established in 1908 to provide a base for the Army's mobile defense of Pearl Harbor and the entire island. Photograph is rolled and will be shipped that way. If you're not in the U.S., shipping cost will be determined after close of auction. Please ask any questions. Insured shipping and handling is $8.75 within U.S. International shipping cost to be determined. Payment by PayPal, personal check, must be received within 10 days. Those in Connecticut add 6% sales tax. I reserve the right to reject bids from those with substantial negative feedback or those with less than (5) positive feedback.
